Many people have never heard of a Virtual Assistant. If they have, they are not sure what it means or how it can help them or their business.
It is important for you to understand that I cannot speak for all virtual assistants. Therefore, please be advised that all comments and information in this blog post is that of your Helping Hand, Michelle and my company, mine-va.com.
Virtual Assistant: The best way for me to describe a Virtual Assistant is to break it down in ways that can help everyone understand. In my opinion a Virtual Assistant is someone you hire to help you do any work you need help accomplishing. They are an independent contractor or freelancer. However, this allows you to not include them in your normal payroll and you supply them with a 1099 at the end of the year for their services. You pay them a normal check per your/their payment agreement.
Most Virtual Assistants offer several types of services and deadlines. The only real assistance I can give you here is to contact several (3-6) individuals and see what each can and cannot do. See how well you communicate by asking questions and talking about the work you need accomplished.
As for mine-va.com and your Helping Hand Michelle you can see all the services I offer at mine-va.com/services/.
Here we offer monthly packages for several items such as social media and bookkeeping/Accounting and so on. We also have service packages for side projects or large amounts of work such as data entry and/or organizing files, etc.,
So how can I or another Virtual Assistant help your company and you?
I can help people/businesses with many different areas of work but here are some examples or reasons to offer you some relief of nerves or stress about hiring me or anyone else for that matter.
Let’s say you just started a business and you need help getting your business in order, creating social media accounts, and procedures to help keep your business get growing fast and steady.
Another instance may be if you already own a business and just have so much work even the employees cannot keep up. I can come in handy to help you get that work accomplished.
One last thought for you – in my past work history I have worked as an administrative assistant for a non-profit company, worked for several lawyers such as insurance defense, personal injury and even debt collection. I am currently an online teaching assistant and have also been an assistant at a college. Just a few ideas on the different types of work I have done to help see if any of this may apply to your business.
